Macclesfield doctor helping Froome


A Doctor from Macclesfield is among the team that is helping nurse star cyclist Chris Froome back to health following his horror bike crash.

Dr Richard Usher, from Sutton, is part of the British World Tour group and has given an update on the four times Tour de France winner’s recovery.

Froome, 34, suffered a fractured neck following a horrific crash into a wall at the Critérium du Dauphiné, in France, on Wednesday, June 12.
