While it may appear to be quite shiny and appealing from the outside to buy property in Malta, there are always negative influences to consider that can cause things to change quite quickly – with inflation being the most recent drawback.
In their most recent quarterly report, the Central Bank of Malta revealed that services inflation has been the main cause of overall inflation in Malta recently.
Much of it explains the growing shortage of construction workers and materials.
This, in turn, raises the costs of maintaining and repairing existing homes as well as new developments, causing owners to ask for a higher price to cover the higher associated costs.
